Collection: Ametrine

Ametrine is a variety of Quartz that combines the properties of two other Quartz varieties: Amethyst (purple) and Citrine (yellow). Its unique dual coloration results from variations in the oxidation state of iron impurities within the Quartz crystal structure.

Ametrine is a rare stone. It forms in igneous rocks or hydrothermal environments, specifically under unique conditions where temperature and pressure cause localized changes in the oxidation state of iron.

The purple Amethyst zones result from higher iron oxidation levels caused by natural radiation. While the yellow Citrine zones form in areas where iron is in a lower oxidation state. This transition typically occurs during the crystal's growth when temperature fluctuations or other geochemical conditions influence the iron distribution.

This crystal is a harmonious blend of Amethyst and Citrine energies—a powerful combination of the relaxing properties of Amethyst and the dynamic properties of Citrine. It harmonizes perception with action, strengthens concentration, and helps to reflect on situations, encouraging exploration of all possible solutions and fostering creative resolutions.

It is a crystal that promotes intuitive success in all areas of life. It enhances optimism, joy, harmony, and inner well-being. Additionally, it has a special ability to clear the mind of tension, stress, and restlessness, improving focus during meditation. It helps connect the physical realm with higher consciousness, facilitating and protecting astral travel.

Ametrine is found in Brazil, Uruguay and Bolivia, but also in some parts of Africa, like Madagascar.
