Collection: Iris Quartz

The only Quartz with natural iridescence grows in India and is called Iris or Anandalite, meaning "divine bliss" in Sanskrit. Another popular names are Aura, Aurora or Rainbow Quartz.

Its iridescence is due to an interference in the structure of the Quartz, causing a refraction of light, showing the colors of the rainbow. Its iridescence can be more or less subtle, which makes it difficult to capture all the colors in camera.

Sometimes the colored reflections are only seen in some parts of the face of a crystal. In general, only a few faces of a sample strongly show the effect, many of its faces do not show the effect at all.

It mostly grows in clusters or stalactites. Some have small points (like spirit quartz), others have larger points.

Energetically, it transmits high frequencies of energy that act on all the chakras, especially the upper ones, helping us to awaken spiritual consciousness. It has very healing qualities for the physical, emotional and mental bodies. This Quartz helps us to open our hearts and achieve joy, while connecting us with the Earth and our own intuition.

Iris Quartz can be found mainly in Maharashtra in India. The specimens we have now available come from areas around Aurangabad.
