Collection: Black Chalcedony in Basalt Geode

Chalcedony is a silicon dioxide mineral composed of cryptocrystalline or microcrystalline Quartz. It can range widely in color, almost in all the colors of the rainbow.

Black Chalcedony is a variety of Chalcedony, known for its deep black color with a smooth, waxy or shiny appearance. It is formed through the deposition of silica from groundwater in volcanic rocks. Its black color is given by Iron and Manganese oxides inclusions.

Energetically, Black Chalcedony is a grounding and protective stone that absorbs and transforms negative energy, offering emotional support and resilience during challenging times. It encourages a sense of inner peace and stability, helping to release fear and negativity. This stone is also believed to enhance communication, especially in group settings, and to promote mental clarity and focus. Black Chalcedony’s calming energy makes it a valuable aid for stress relief and emotional healing, helping to restore balance and harmony.

Chalcedony deposits are distributed all over the world, specially in India, Brazil, Madagascar and United States. We have beautiful specimens for you, found in Nashik, Maharashtra in India.
