Collection: Calcite

Calcite is a calcium carbonate mineral with a hardness of 3. It is a soft mineral that is found in every continent. Typically, in limestone and marbles mines.

Calcite is abundantly available in various shades such as clear, white, green, smoky, golden and almost any color.

Its molecular structure is rhombohedral, but specimens can appear in many shapes such as masses, prisms, scalenohedrons (dogtooth), rhombohedron, stalactites.

Energetically, Calcite is a cleansing, refreshing an revitalizing influence. It opens blockages and activates the energy systems. It can bring the feeling of viewing the world with new and fresh perspective, helping to see the joy inherent in all aspects of life.

Here we have some Calcites from Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, including Optical Calcites with Green Chlorite inclusions and Dogtooth Yellow Calcites on Mordenite.
