Collection: Emerald

Emerald is the green variety of beryl, a beryllium aluminium silicate coloured primarily by trace amounts of chromium and sometimes vanadium. It forms when beryllium-rich fluids interact with chromium- or vanadium-bearing rocks under suitable geological conditions. Emerald crystallizes in the hexagonal system and often contains natural inclusions that reflect its formation.

In traditional crystal practices, emerald is associated with the heart chakra, emotional balance, compassion and personal growth. It is believed to encourage harmony in relationships and clarity of thought, although these energetic properties have not been scientifically established.
