Collection: Fluorite

Fluorite is a calcium fluoride mineral with a hardness of 4 and belongs to the halide group. It growth pattern is cubir, octahedral or massive, and it occurs in hydrothermal veins, often in association with minerals such as Quartz, Calcite and Barite.

Fluorite is famous for its wide range of colors, which can include purple, green, yellow, blue, colorless, pink, and even black. The color variations in fluorite are caused by trace elements, such as iron, yttrium, and cerium, as well as exposure to radiation during the crystal's formation. The color can also change over time when exposed to UV light, leading to the term "fluorescence"—this is where the mineral gets its name.

Important Fluorite deposists have been found in Germany, England, China, South Africa, Argentina and the USA (Illinois, Kentucky, and Colorado).

Energetically, Fluorite is known for its powerful cleansing properties. It is believed to help clear negative energies and blockages, especially in the mind and emotions. It can act as a ´psychic vacuum cleaner', clearing the atmosphere of confusion, cluttered thoughts, negativity and any sort of astral 'hangers on' who are making mischief in one's environment.

It is also known for enhancing focus, mental clarity, and decision-making, making it ideal for meditation, studies or any intellectual pursuits. It is also thought to protect against electromagnetic radiation and strengthen the auric field.

Fluorite can align and balance the chakras, promoting mental and spiritual growth.
