Collection: Garnet

Garnets are a group of silicate minerals that form under high temperatures and pressures, commonly in metamorphic rocks such as schist and gneiss, though they can also be found in igneous rocks like granite and peridotite. Garnets crystallize in the cubic system, forming well-defined dodecahedral (12-sided) or trapezohedral (24-sided) crystals. They have variations in their chemical composition, which results in a range of 6 different types, each with unique colors and properties.

The six varieties of Garnet are: Andradite (yellow to green), Grossular (light pink), Uvarovite (emerald green), Pyrope (deep red to almost black), Almandine (transparent dark red), and Spessartite (brown to red). The rarest green Garnet, called Demantoid Garnet, belongs to the same category of Andradite.

Energetically, Garnets are known as stones of strength, grounding, and revitalization. They are often associated with passion, courage, and motivation, believed to stimulate both physical and emotional energy. Garnets are said to help with grounding and stabilizing, making them especially useful for those seeking balance and a stronger sense of purpose.
