Collection: Rhodocrosite

Rhodocrosite is a manganese carbonate mineral typically forming in hydrothermal veins associated with silver, lead, and copper deposits. Its distinctive pink to red color comes from the presence of manganese, and it often crystallizes in rhombohedral forms or appears as banded, stalactitic masses. Significant deposits are found in Argentina, Peru, and Colorado (USA), with the Argentine variety especially noted for its striking concentric patterns and vibrant hues. It may also occur as a secondary mineral in low-temperature oxidation zones.

Energetically, rhodocrosite is often associated with emotional healing, self-love, and compassion. Many believe it supports the heart on both physical and emotional levels, encouraging release of past trauma and promoting forgiveness. Its gentle, nurturing energy is said to help reconnect with joy and personal truth, making it a favored stone for inner child work and emotional renewal.
